Safeguarding Workshop 12.30pm - 1.45pm - Rolleston - After 11am Mass. Our Lady of the Plains, Selwyn

After 11am Mass on Sunday June 23rd, there will be a Safeguarding Workshop offered to volunteers who have not yet attended a workshop or have not attended for over three years. Safeguarding Workshop attendance is a requirement  for all volunteers regardless of which group or ministry.  Safeguarding Training forms  part of inductions for new or prospective volunteers, religous and staff.  In advance of attending a workshop you are welcome to watch a 5 minute induction video from the  National Office for Professional Standards, outlining what is safeguarding and why we need to develop a "safeguarding lens" in a "One Church Approach".  Link to video - Safeguarding Induction Video - National Office for Professional Standards (catholic.org.nz). It is a top priority of the Catholic Church to continue to commit to implementing and maintaining cultures of safeguarding,  in order to keep our children, our vulnerable adults and all who serve and worship in our communities safe from harm.  Cultures of safeguarding are a shared responsibility.  The Church has zero tolerance for abuse.
