Safeguarding Workshop attendance is a requirement for all volunteers, religious and staff in Catholic Parishes and Faith Communities in New Zealand regardless of role.

Safeguarding is the actions we take to ensure preventative practices are in place for child and vulnerable adult protection and that we in our ministries understand how to keep ourselves and others safe from harm.

 Cultures of safeguarding are a shared responsibility by all who worship in the Catholic Church in New Zealand.  The Church has zero tolerance for abuse.
