Safeguarding Workshop - Childrens Ministries Focus - Tuesday June 23rd at 7pm-8.30pm - Assisi Lounge

Safeguarding is a collective effort for everyone serving in the Catholic Church in New Zealand but particularly for those that are involved with children's ministries. In our parishes safeguarding practices are integrated into all volunteer ministries, from safe recruitment practices, background checking and safeguarding training, so that we prioritise the safety of those we minister to as well as keeping ourselves safe. This free workshop will cover the principals of safeguarding and provide clear and practical guidance on safeguarding practices in parish roles, programs, events that include children. Attendance is required for all new volunteers and for existing volunteers who have not completed safeguarding training in the past three years.
