About the event
This safeguarding workshop is for Young Adult Ministry Leaders.
Safe Ministry is underpinned by appropriate leadership, best practice and safe environments.
Leaders Young Adult Ministries (18-35) in parishes and catholic entities bring a vital range of skills, enthusiasm, faith and creativity to their roles. Many are involved in supporting activities, events and retreats with young adults and vulnerable adults. It is therefore vital that they are not only equipped to undertake their roles safely following good safeguarding practices, but that they are also able to identify potential signs of harm, abuse or neglect and know how to respond to safeguarding concerns with the support of their team.
This safeguarding workshop will cover core safeguarding practices, boundaries and Code of Conduct undertakings. Part of the workshop will be group discussions regarding potential scenarios that may be encountered and feedback as to managing such situations.
